We are so thrilled to team up with the talented faculty at Elizabethtown College Music Camp on Monday, July 13 at 8 pm at Leffler Chapel and Performance Center, Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, PA. Miranda Cuckson will perform a mini-concert and talk to the students/audience about her life in music and the importance to always be creative in one’s life. American violinist and violist Miranda Cuckson delights audiences with her expressive playing of a large range of music. She studied at Juilliard, starting in pre-college when she was nine years old. A sought-after teacher, she is on faculty at the Mannes School of Music/New School University. Active internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, she is passionate about the creative and communicative role of the performer/interpreter in the artistic process. Miranda made her Carnegie Hall debut in Walter Piston’s concerto with the American Symphony Orchestra. She appears in concert halls large and small, schools and universities, and informal spaces. She frequently works both with emerging young composers and with a slew of celebrated composers from around the world.
Click here for more info on Elizabethtown College Music Camp At the camp, young people spend a week immersed in performance and music learning with enthusiastic peers, under the direction of a knowledgeable and experienced faculty. This program runs July 12-18, 2020 and is a residential music camp for young musicians grades 7-12, featuring voice, piano, chamber ensembles, band, orchestra, and chorus. Students may elect to participate in extra-curricular ensembles such as jazz band, jazz strings and show choir.
